Pain continues after MN surgeryAfter two cortisone injections which lasted 3 mths each, I finally had surgery in Jan this year. Recovery was slow 4-6 weeks with using crutches and walking slowly, pain was intense with weight bearing. Finally hobbled back to work, foot got worse swelling and pain and turning blue at 3rd and fourth toe and big toe, back to specialist -diagnosis after MRI stress fracture of 2nd metarsal- in cam boot for 6 weeks- returned to specialist after three pain still bad -given cortisone to inflammation above stress fracture. Cam boot removed after six weeks, pain still intense physio and hydrotherapy helped a little, foot still swells after weight bearing, pain and turns blue at toes. Returned to specialist reluctant to do anything else. Also stated have reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome.
Decided to try natural therapy will post again in three months. Nice to know I'm not the only one with this problem.
Re: Pain continues after MN surgeryHad to let you know my pain in my foot has substancially sub-sided--since I have been taking serrapeptase- natural anti- inflammatory. I took 3x3 40,000 units per day for three weeks and have now reduced to 2x2 a day. I can walk , wear different shoes and lost my limp. Recommend people to investigate this product as drs ,physio ,Hydrotherapy, acupuncture, rest did not.
