Hello, I am new here

Hi Everyone,

I was diagnosed for MN in May, I think. I am so sick of foot problems I could scream! Anyway, I didn't know if anyone else has the pain that goes down the outside of the foot toward the ankle, causing me to limp. I like to be active and it really irritates me that I keep having foot problems. I just wanted to see if any of you with MN have had this pain that I described above, along with the typical tingling in the 3rd and 4th toes.

I have had 5 shots (and no more) and they haven't helped. I want to have surgery to get rid of this stupid problem but I don't know if I feel comfortable with them surgically removing part of my nerve either. Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
I am also new, just signed up. I am so frustrated with this new med problem that I am doing as much research as possible. I too have the pain that radiates on the outside of my ankle/leg that goes about half way up the calf. Also, the muscle right below the knee swells up when the foot is in full force pain which is 24/7. I am still in search of a doctor who knows how to treat this. I am going to the Cleveland Clinic next tues for my spinal issue and hoping they will lead me in the right direction. The last POD I saw said there was nothing wrong with my foot, but at that time I did not know about Morton's Neuroma to bring it up. I don't want to go back to that doc because I feel he should have known back then.

Good Luck
Linda
