Ingrown toenails

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Oct 08, 2003 9:44 pm

My 12 year old daughter had ingrown toenails treated earlier this year. Before the surgery she was having pain frequently. She has very wide feet and a very large and hard toenails. Our one concern was how they would look after tx. and were told that the Dr. would be conservative due to her age. He said he would do "a little" but that she may need to have more nail removed in the future. Well, he removed A LOT!! Her nails are now 1/2 their size and not growing straight. They are very embarassing for her. Is there anything that I can do to help her have more attractive toenails? Please help...this is very important to her.
