Severe heel pain

Post a new topicby Janny16 on Thu Jul 17, 2008 10:29 pm

I am sitting with my feet in Epsom salts water as my left heel hurts so bad that I can't sleep. I have taken aleve and tried arch supports, ice, massage, and it just keeps getting worse. The pain is on the arch side of my heel, closer to the middle of my foot than the back of the heel. It hurts when stepping down, especially after rest. It burns, aches, stabs and gets worse when I flex my foot upward. My husband says this might be a heel spur or plantar fascitis. Does this sound right? I have an appointment with an orthopedic foot specialist in a couple of weeks. This is really ruining my days right now. Any advice, opinions or suggestions? Thank you.
