Already had hammertoe corrective surgery but...I had toe surgery approximately 6 years ago and the toe that I had corrected is now crooked and the top part of the toe sits on top of the toe next to it. Is this normal? If not, what would cause this to happen after the surgery? Should I consult a podiatrist to have the toe straightened? It's not very attractive and I don't like to wear open toe shoes because of it.
Re: Already had hammertoe corrective surgery but...It sounds like you may have a bunion or hammertoe. You should see a podiatrist to have it properly diagnosed and treated. It can be straightened so you do not have to be embarrassed about wearing open toe shoes. I do not know what surgery they did in the past so I cannot say if this could have caused the problem you now have. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
