not gout not pseudogout but possibly psoriatic arthritis??hi since my last post I have seen a rheumatologist who thinks I do not have gout or pseudogout but he is puzzled and suggested possible psoriatic arthritis-since this has been going on for 3 months-another
xray is done and he has put me on celebrex for time being -any thoughts? thanks
Dealing w/ GoutI am 35 years old and am suffering through my worst case of gout. I have taken the prescribed indomethacine and am almost done with Prednisone. At this time I still cannot put on a shoe without extreme pain and walk w/ a noticable limp. I am waiting to hear from my Dr. on next step. I have consumed alcholic beverages on both medications once. I have limited my red meat and am eating dried cherries regularly. I drink plenty of fluids as well. What else needs to be done to get my toe back to normal as it has been 2 weeks.
Re: not gout not pseudogout but possibly psoriatic arthritis??When I get an attack I am given Colchicine it has worked for me. When I suspect it is starting I take a every two hours up to 8 in 24 hours or, until
I feel sickly or diarrhoea. It sounds dreadful, I had neither but it got rid of the gout. Also, if you are overweight lose weight, but be careful because you have to lose it slowly otherwise it will cause an imbalance in the body and you will get another attack. Hope that is of some help Regards from Ireland, Green Eyes
