Sesamoiditis and removable castI have been diagnosed with sesamoiditis in my right foot. My left was also painful but has resolved some on its own. I have gone to two D.P.M.s, second opinion is why two. Both have stated sesamoiditis and removable cast for 3-4 weeks. I cannot take NSAIDs or cortisone as I am allergic, so am down to icing and the removable cast. My problem is with the removable cast. I cannot tell a lot of difference in the relief of the pain with using it. Is it supposed to take the pressure off the ball of the foot? How is it supposed to help with the sesamoiditis? Also, the cast puts me at an odd angle with my legs and my upper leg (thigh muscles), hip and lower back on the right side are very painful already and I've only been in the cast for a few days. Any advice??????????
