Foot Pain

I broke my foot a year ago and have went through three morton neuroma surgeries. I have been having swelling on the top of my foot and pain in my foot that is going up into my leg. I went to my podiatrist today and he is going to do orthotics for my foot. I am worried about the swelling and pain in my foot and what is causing it. I can't stand to wear my shoes. Should I seek an Ortho for help?
