Charcot Marie Tooth Disease

I am a mother who has CMT I have two daughters that have it, they are 7 and 9. My 7 year old is worse of then my 9 year old. My 7 year old is having surgery done on her foot this friday and then two weeks later she is having surgery done on her other foot. My 9 year old has it but they say that she has no sign of it her dna test say that she has it. Hi I have cmt as well. I was diagnosed with it after 2 years of being ill. I have two girls and a son. My girls are in the process of getting diagnosed. I had no idea i had a disease of this type till i woke up one morning with the muscle gone in my right leg and my toes on right foot deformed as well as my left thumb . How long did it take the doctors to diagnose you and your girls. I am 51 and have been ill almost 3 years now. I was diagnosed in Jan 07.I live in Windsor Ont. and have to go to London for a doctor due to no help here in windsor. What medication are you and your daughter's on?
