my name is chris and i can relate to your story.i was diagnosed with type 1 dibetes on my thirteenth birthday. i liveded life my way thinking i was superman. i have had several eye surgeries, neuropathy in the feet and legs. i had a kidney trasplant in 2004. then one day i was walking and heard a loud crack in my foot,it never hurt at all. the next day i was diagnosed with charco foot.I now wear a big black boot.but its not the end of the world.i have had my boot for two years now and learned to adjust. the charco hit me in my right ankle and mid foot. there are a lot things the doctors have tried to stableize the bone movement. my wife and mother keep my spirits up the best they can but its very hard sometimes i am 35 years old and feel like i am 60.i hope in the future there is a cure for this because my daughter is 12 and is a diabetic too, idont want her to go through this.
