athletes footI am 16 years old and when I took my shoes off last night, my feet smelled and the skin behind my right toes were red and itching. I have been swimming since it's been hot so could that be the begining of Athletes foot? My friends said that girls don't get that and they also wear tennis shoes after they swim too. I have been keeping my feet in shoes because they smell and you can see that the skin between my toes are wet. Any infomation willl help. Thanks.
Re: athletes footIt ia almost definitely athlete's foot and girls can get it. The white between your toes is the most typical area. You should try using a product from your local drug store like Lamisil or Tinactin. However, you should also see a podiatrist to be properly diagnosed and treated. Try not to itch your feet becasue this will only make it worse. If you have not told you parents, make sure you let them know. Good luck and please write back with any future questions.
