Too tight of shoes!Hi,
I decided to go to a well known "running" store to purchase some new walking shoes. I spent 1 hour with a sales associate who made an assestment as to what kind of shoe to get and if the fitting was right for me. I left with a pair of costly but what I thought was needed shoes. After the second day of wearing them both ankles were puffed up and one had shocking sensations along the outside. I had wondered if it wasn't the shoes and maybe something else until I let my daughter wear them for a day seeing she was the same size but a narrower foot. That afternoon she came home with puffiness and pain but on the top part of both her feet. Clearly the shoes are too narrow and extra narrow if they did it to my daughters slender feet. Her swelling and pain went away after 2 days. My swelling(puffiness) comes and goes but the pins and needles are still there after 1 month. I've since called the "running" store and they won't advise me on anything and said that sometimes they make poor judgement calls. At this point the runners are a right off and my main concern is healing. Is this something that's just going to heal in time? I can't believe I went somewhere in hopes of walking better and ended up like this. Is there a condition for this? A tight shoe syndrome? Tell me there's hope! xo El.
